we currently have an abundance of tomatoes. they are ripening every day, too many to eat at once. we had hoped for this, and are preserving some of the harvest by canning and by freezing. we canned six qt-sized jars of whole tomatoes on the 1st of august. on the 6th, i made a batch of sauce and froze three qts.
there are still plenty of green tomatoes and flowers – more harvest to come!
